As I'm sure some of you have experienced, it's really frustrating when someone sends you a quicknote, and you accidentally press space or enter on something that navigates you away from the page without being able to read the quicknote first.
What I would suggest is a quicknote history feature, in which you could type /hist in the quicknote edit box, it the site would then navigate you to a page of your most recent quicknotes. Be that the last 10, all quicknotes received since you logged in last, or all quicknotes from that day. The history length could be changed under your settings.
Any thoughts welcome.
We used to have that, for premium members anyway, don't know what happened to it.
Premium members use to have quicknote history, but whenever someone accessed it, the site would slow to a crawl.
They eventually only allowed access to the last month, not sure what happened after that, I'm not premium so I can only tell you what was said on the boards.
Premium users have 60 days of back QN history.
Yes, this is true. I'm a premium and I have access to my most private QN's also. Hmmm... I don't find it easy to use, with the time displays and such, but there you have it
hi I know this is a premium member thing but why not a stript down vertion for standered users like a vertion only showing say the last12 private messages and no public ones at all or something along thos lins also it be tied in to the loginshen so as soon as theylog out it be cleard? that would cut down on the site resorses and stell give standered members a chance to use it somewhat
The QN's are logged weather or not you're a premium. So storing them isn't an issue.
We've always had the stance to keep this one as premium, so I doubt we change it.
